Last October I had back surgery and ever since I have had issues with my legs and knees. My surgeon referred me to the neurologist at St Margaret's in fox chapel to test the nerves in my legs to see if there was damage.

The neurologist saw that I am on workmen's comp and guided the majority of her exam towards getting me back to work and not figuring out why I'm having the issues im having. She asked questions but doesn't listen to the answers. She will do her part if the nerve test, get up and walk out of the room and not tell you anything or at least that's what she did to me. she was told that I can't sit up for very long as it increases the pain I'm in at which point she suggested I could stand at a desk.

Now I am seeing her because my knees go numb, legs get heavy and give out on me and I can't stand or walk for long periods of time without that happening. She was informed that once I'm upright for x time, the pain becomes unbearable even with strong pain killers and that I have to lay down. Once she completed the exam, walked out didn't say a word. She handed prescriptions to receptionist who gave them to me at which point I asked can someone please tell me what is going on.

The receptionist had to go back and ask the doctor and when she came back , she claimed the doctor had told me but I have neropthy in my right leg and said the doctor wanted to see me in 2 weeks. I made the appointment and left. At no point in time did the doctor discuss releasing me back to work. I was not there for that reason.

I was there to have a nerve test, a report written about that and nothing more. A week later I get a letter from comp insurance lawyer telling me that she had released me to go back to work the same day I saw her. I have yet to see the report though I'm expecting a nice fictional story about my overall physical well being from a doctor who was just supposed to test my nerves. I can only guess that she ignored my answers to her questions and choose to write her own instead.

By releasing me back to work, would not only increase the pain I live with everyday but also put me at risk to cause even more damage by increasing my fall rate as I would not have access to a place to lay down that would take pressure off my back which is why I lay down in the first place. This doctor is a joke, she doesn't listen and apparently has no problem throwing her injured patients under the bus

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
